Wondering where I am at?
Well these last 2 weeks we spent more time in sessions and worship preparing our hearts and minds for the months ahead of us. On Sunday we got to be a part of one of my favorite ministries: kids ministry! It was so cool to see how in other countries when there are language barriers how to still connect and show them love no matter the circumstance. It also was a great reminder that most of these kids will come in with an insurmountable amount of joy because they are grateful for what they are being given.
On Tuesday we were given the responsibility to go on prayer watch which meant choosing a time frame to stay up throughout the night and pray over our squads, camp, and over all of the trips. Though I might have fallen asleep, God was present in the room and it was just a sweet time of being able to rely on Him and pray for those going out this week.
Squad wars also took place this week which was so awesome and a fun way to just get to bond and have together and do something a little different from what we had been doing.
I could keep going on and on but I won’t bore you but to end off the week we had lots of time saying goodbye to the other squads that left and having a big commissioning/revival night (more to come on that later). We also found out our teams which I LOVE my entire team and we have the best squad leader(SQL)! On my team is Naomi, Jaydin, Kynsie, Avery, Karen, and our SQL Abby. We have chosen the team name GILI which is found in the Old Testament meaning “my joy” which has really been what our team has brought to the squad. Avery also found out that when we say the word GILI all you can do is smile so really God has just put that into place.
Along with this we also were given responsibilities or roles within our teams and I was asked to come alongside 3 other squad mates and a leader to coordinate women’s ministry. This was a little surprising at first and I almost thought no because I haven’t really been a part of this ministry and didn’t feel called to it but it had been prayed over so who is to say no to Gods call. This group consists of Mercy, Ella, Merydith, and our leader Jordan and they are the sweetest group of girls with big ideas about how to serve the women of our squad and the women in other countries!

Our first event took place the Monday of our third week at camp and it was such a beautiful night of worship and testimonies along with connections built and time for fun and snacks. His presence was felt so deeply that night and it was awesome to see it come together and watch our people feel so loved and seen!
Then the third week we really just kept diving deeper especially within our specific teams to be prepared for the weeks and months of ministry ahead of us. We did hike up mount Yonah together which was a fun little challenge and we were able to stay together, have fun, and even push each other a little. We also stayed the night and then hiked down really early the next morning but it was so awesome and provided an awesome opportunity for us to get out and explore together! This week was much shorter and may not seem as big as last week but we were able to prepare our hearts for the ministry coming up.
All in all God has really just been moving throughout our camp and I can’t wait to see what He does this next week in North Carolina for our domestic missions.
